Watch Vlog Here
Hello Human Angel,
This week’s vlog is on discounting your value.
What life has been showing me lately is how often we discount the value we bring—especially in the small, everyday moments. We help someone, we make something easier, we show up… and then almost immediately, we downplay it.
We tell ourselves it wasn’t that valuable because it wasn’t something big or grand. It was “just” an everyday situation.
But here’s the thing—this behavior can be so unconscious.
It can happen in a split second. Just one thought can come in and discredit you and your worth before you even realize it.
In my video this week, I share a moment where I caught myself doing exactly this—discounting my own value.
So let me ask you…
Do you do this to yourself?
If you do, then this blog is for you.
Because I recently watched myself do this for the first time with full awareness, and honestly, I was shocked. It made me ask: Where else am I discounting what I have to offer?
If you are here to enhance the world—and I believe you are—you cannot discount the small things or the big things you do.
It’s time to stop only valuing the “big” moments.
It’s time to start recognizing that everything you do has value.
Why do we discount ourselves?
It can come from many places:
- Family patterning
- Societal conditioning
- Trauma
- Your own beliefs about yourself
The good news? You can change this.
You are in charge of you.
You have the power within you to shift this behavior. It may not happen overnight—but it will happen if you decide, and you feel that decision.
How do you start changing it?
- Make the decision to stop discrediting yourself.
- Start noticing where you do it:
- In your thoughts
- In your words
- In your feelings
- Or all of the above
- Ask yourself:
What belief or behavior is causing me to discredit myself? - Then ask:
Do I still need this belief? - If the answer is no—let it go:
- Write it down
- Use energy work
- Breathe and allow yourself to feel and release it
You matter.
What you do matters.
And it’s time you start seeing the value that has been there all along.
Lots of Love,
Sharon
